Breakfast in a standing-cafe

One handy German institution is the area set aside in many bakery shops as a Stehcafé, or ‘standing-cafe’.

Here you’ll find standing-level tables or counters and some curious angled ‘seats’ on the walls that you can lean or half-sit on. Just for prompt ‘in and out’ breakfasting, but pretty practical!
