Baby pigeons!

I am growing baby pigeons in my baby tomatoes, in the balcony planters… Have to be careful not to water the chicks!

Can’t say I was overly impressed at the mother before the chicks hatched, the nest is pretty weak (though admittedly perfectly adequate for that location), and whenever you came within 2m of the box, she immediately flew away, leaving the eggs undefended.

Still, it seems to be doing OK with the chicks, and now waits till you get within about 1m before running away, so at least it’s slightly more protective!

The chicks hatched about a week ago. They’re still just sitting around looking bored and fluffy :).
